St. Candella

Patron Saint of Knowledge and Learning. Worshipped by Teachers, Students, Scholars, Wizards and Scientists

Symbol: A lit candle

She is represented as a pretty young woman with long blonde hair, a cerulean blue robe and holding several open books in one hand and a reading candle in the other. She was originally a god, worshipped by the pagans living in the area that is now Anderia. The original pagan god was of dark skin and brown wavy hair, she held a candle and a young infant. She represents the aspect of learning and knowledge bringing the light of civilisation to the young of the world.

St. Branckis DiAress

Patron Saint of the poor and abandoned. Worshipped by those who have little and need charity and those who give homes to sick animals

Symbol: An empty bowl

The son of a wealthy cloth merchant he was one of seven children. Even though he was baptized Giovanni, his father later changed his name to Branckis (Meaning Forthright in the old tongue). He was handsome, courteous, witty, strong, and intelligent, but very zealous. He liked to play hard and fight hard like most of his contemporaries. Local squabbles between towns, principalities, dukedoms, and so on were rampant at the time. After being visited by the Lawgiver in a dream he completely changed his ways. He started his own community called the Order of The Lessers. They took vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, unlike monks who lived in monasteries outside the villages and towns, the Lessers were not monks but mendicants, which means that they begged for their food, clothes, and shelter. What they collected they shared among themselves and the poor. They worked among the poor in the urban areas.

St. Anthoni of Ladauda

Patron saint of lost items and lost faith. Worshipped by those who have somewhere, or some state of grace to get back to.

Symbol: A child being carried

St. Anthoni was born Frano, the son of Marti and Theresa. At the age of 15, he joined an order of priests. Later he transferred to the newly formed Order Lessers, where he took the religious name of Anthoni. He is famous for being an effective orator. Anthoni's sermons were so powerful, that many Catholics who strayed from the faith and embraced false doctrines of other religions, would repent after hearing him. This skill led to his nickname, "Anthoni the Atonner."

While walking to the market in the city of Consitution, Antoni came across a young child, a small boy crying because he was lost. Anthoni carried the boy from house to house seeking where he lived. At the end of the day when Antoni came back around to the church, the boy said I live in there! Anthoni took the boy inside whereupon he disappeared. Those who worship this saint believe that the boy was the Lawgiver.

St. Thoudor

Patron Saint of Strong Will and sticking to one's path of action. Worshipped by many who need to stay upon a course of action.

Symbol: A walking staff with worn-out boots next to it

Thoudor's parents sent him at the age of 5, to the local scholar. It was hoped that if he didn't show talents suited for becoming a knight or nobleman, he could at least rise to the rank of abbot or bishop and thus add to his family's prestige and influence. However, ten years later, Thoudor wanted to create a new order, which was similar to the Order of the Lessers, in that it didn't go to distant monasteries but worked in urban areas instead. The new order was called the Order of Demigouges also called the Praelectiones.

His monumental theological and philosophical work, the Summa Theologica, covers almost every principal doctrine and dogma of his era. He composed many hymns and prayers outlining the expectations, rules and regulations of the Church of the lawgiver.

St. Trissius

Patron Staint of Strife and Suffering. She is worshipped by those who are navigating through pain and strife in their lives.

Symbol: A chalice of red

Marie Trissius, was the youngest of five daughters. When she was 4 years old, her mother died and left her father with five girls to raise on his own. Two of her older sisters joined an order of nuns, and Trissius wanted to join them when she was just 14. The order normally made girls wait until they were 16 before entering the convent or monastery, but Trissius was adamant.

She accompanied her father to a general audience of His Holiness Cardinal Leo and surprised everyone by throwing herself before the pontiff, begging to become a nun. The wise pope replied, "If the Lawgiver wills, you will enter." When she returned home, the local bishop allowed her to enter early. At the age of 15, she showed remarkable spiritual insights for someone so young, but it was due to her childlike relationship with the Lawgiver. Her superiors asked her to keep memoirs of her thoughts and experiences. At the age of 23, she coughed up blood and was diagnosed with Damp Lung. She lived only one more year, and it was filled with intense physical suffering until her death 2 years later. During that time she composed some of the most soothing and sonorous musical compositions.

St. Fleximori

Patron Saint of insight and truth. He is worshipped by those who need to have honest interactions with others.

Symbol: A mask, one side of the face white, the other purple

Fleximori was born Felix Adorr in Cadenbyrig in Urtind. Because he showed evidence of having a priestly vocation early in his youth, his father went to Anderia to make enough money so Fleximori could attend the Lawgiver school and seminary. At the age of 15, he took the vows and habit and assumed the name of Felximori. He was ordained a priest and it is believed that less than a month later, he received the sign of the Lawgiver, the right side of his face turned purple.

During the War of Corruption, he served as a chaplain in the Nomostano Fighting Order. After the war, news spread about his facial colouration, which stirred up some jealous enemies. Because of false accusations that were sent to Constitution, he was suspended from conducting mass or from hearing confessions. Two years later, Cardinal Leo reversed the suspension and said, "I have not been badly disposed toward Padre Pio, but I have been badly informed."

It is believed that he was able to read souls, meaning that when people came to him for confession, he could immediately tell if they were lying, holding back sins, or truly repentant. He became so well-loved all over Anderia and indeed all over the world that three days after his death more than 100,000 people gathered at Cathedral Optimus Max (often abbreviated to COM) in Constitution to pray for his departed soul.

Cardinal St. Angellus Bocall

Patron Saint of Ambition and Successful Endeavours. Worshipped by those who seek promotion within an organisation

Symbol: A ladder with three rungs missing

He was the third of 13 children and grew up in the North. His family was poor but devout. He was ordained a priest and became a chaplain in the War of Corruption, secretary to his bishop, and spiritual director at the local seminary. Afterwards, he became a bishop and served as an apostolic delegate to Urtind in Cadenbyrig, and eventually Lawgiver Ambassador to Militas. After serving there with distinction he rose to become the successor to Cardinal Leo

When Leo died, Saint Bocall was elected his successor at age 76. Many Monsignor's thought he would be a "caretaker pope" after the 19-year reign of Leo. He surprised everyone by convening an Ecumenical Council. It was the first council since the First Lawgiver Council ended.

Cardinal St. Angellus was a very popular Cardinal and many people were heartbroken when he died during a session at COM from Evil Humours of the Gut.
