Company Update

The past few months have been very exciting with the partnership between Anderian Designs Ltd.. and BGD Ltd.. I have been working on the layout and aiding with design of the new 5th Edition Rules of Chivalry & Sorcery, I have to say that this 600 page book is not only a beast but a bloody gorgeous beast. It has been so much fun and frustration doing this project, it truly felt like being on a roller coaster at times; just when you think it's all over something else happens.

The layout of the master pages was a simple one, with a straightforward two column set up with bleeds and slug. The background pages were provided and I sat down with Stephen Turner CEO of BGD and we chose the font selection for the document and the colours for the tables. I presented several way to show off the wonderful images, artfully crafted by Gordon Napier, Andy Hepworth & Dave Bezzina. A gentle fade from the corner or edge of the page was the winner and looks really good.

A well crafted table of contents, an A-Z index, a list of Spells, Skills and all the tables in the book were inserted as a must have with such a complex and large tome. A finishing touch was the 6 page character sheet at the back.

The book is going through some rigorous checking with the help of the most amazing group of backers and hard working people at Anderian Designs and BGD to bring you the most sorted product as we can. Will there be errors? I guess there will, it is a huge book and it's pages are filled with rich and complex text, I don't think we can get all of the errors but be assured many many hours have been spent doing the best we can to get you the most fixed C&S we could. This was a project of love for many and was handled with care.

The Adventure Treachery & Treason is laid out and waiting for a critical eye to finalise the text, other projects are in the works but I will leave their status to Stephen T to reveal when he feels they are mature enough to disclose.

All in all I am looking forward to the next few months and greatly looking forward to next year, as, OMG you are in for some wonderful products that are in various states of development. C&S is definitely arriving with a big 600 page statement that historical Role Playing is back with class and Style.
